I love shoes. Love love love shoes. They make me happy. Recently, while doing my Fulbright research for Portugal, I came across Melissa + Campana a Brazilian shoe company that makes all of their shoes out of natural rubber from Brazilian rubber trees. They are arguably the creator of “jelly shoes”. They’re amazing and very hard to find. After searching all around downtown Manhattan for these puppies, I finally found them at Epaulet a small specialty clothing store in Brooklyn (I’m considering boycotting Manhattan for shoe shopping - screw you David Z!). They are the largest distributor of Mellisa + Campana shoes in the U.S.A. Anyway, before I walked my little butt down to Smith street to buy the sparkly gold flats pictured above (yes those are my feet! - cute I know. You should see my nail polish ;) )I found this hot video featuring Melissa’s “winter” line. The shoes are cute but the song is even better. Does anyone know what it’s called?
